I am half way through pregnancy and my hair feels different; some of it is falling out in my hands-is this normal?

Be reassured that hair changes are normal in pregnancy. This is because the increased blood flow to the skin results in more rapid growth of your hair. It is often most pronounced at the end of pregnancy and your hair may also become quite soft and fine. Sometimes, hair loss becomes a problem but it returns to normal 6-12 months after delivery.
