Is the anti-D injection safe and would there be any reason for the baby to move more frequently after receiving the injection?

The anti-D injection has been used in many millions of women worldwide and is regarded as very safe. It is produced under very strict conditions from human plasma-so asw ith any blood product there is a tiny theoretical risk of passing on blood borne viruses. This tiny theoretical risk should be seen against its actual known efficacy in reducing the risk of iso-immunisation, ie you producing antibodies that could affect baby. The antibodies don't cross the placenta, so shouldn't affect baby directly in any way but the injection can cause a rash and local discomfort.
