Before I realised I was pregnant, I drank wine on a couple of occasions. Have I done any damage to my baby?

Almost certainly not. Very early in pregnancy, as the embryo is implanting (4-6 weeks after your missed period), the embryo is not particularly susceptible to drugs or other substances. This susceptibility occurs at 6-11 weeks, as the baby's heart, brain and other organs form. There is no evidence that moderate consumption of alchohol causes birth defects, but very excessive consumption can of course.
