Can breathlessness be a sign of pre-eclampsia?

No, it is not normally a sign of pre-eclampsia; it is often a sign of a normal healthy pregnancy. There is a very rare exception to this-if you have really severe pre-eclampsia, it is technically possible to get water on the lungs (pulmonary oedema) which does make you short of breath-but you would almost certainly have all sorts of other symptoms too.
