I am only 22 weeks pregnant and already have stretch marks around my breasts, why is this, and will they get worse?

This is due to the stretching of skin, as you lay down fat stores and as your tummy grows to accommodate your baby . At the time they develop, they can look red and raised. These will fade to slight silver lines in time. Be warned: there are many creams on the market that claim to work wonders with stretch marks. It is our opinion that none of these work, and they may prove very costly. There is, by the way, no obvious relationship between how large you look, how much the skin has to stretch and how many stretch marks you are left with!
