I had a pulmonary embolism and am 25 weeks. Will the treatment for this interfere with my pregnancy?

Normally, if you have had a venous thrombo-embolism (VTE) or pulmonary embolus (PE) your doctors will treat you with a low molecular weight heparin injection (LMWH) injection every day or twice a day to thin your blood. This should not interfere with your pregnancy as the LMWH does not cross the placenta, but special precautions need to be taken when it comes to delivery.
