Constipation can make piles (haemorrhoids) worse, especially if you strain. They can bleed-usually bright fresh blood on the tissue rather than dark blood mixed in with the stool. If you are uncertain where exactly blood is coming from (sometimes vaginal bleeding can be confused with blood coming from the back passage), it is best to be examined by your doctor.
