I gave birth 6 months ago, stopped breastfeeding 1 month ago and have had no signs of a period yet somehow I am pregnant again. How is this possible if I have not been ovulating?

Breast feeding suppresses ovulation but does not always stop it completely. This is why many doctors will prescribe alternative contraception such as the mini-pill, which is progestagen only and doesn't affect breastfeeding. You almost certainly did ovulate, but just weren't aware of it.
