Is it still safe for me to lift my 3 year old now that I am pregnant?

Yes. Lifting moderate weights, if lifted correctly (not bending over to lift) is quite safe as long as your back is not causing you problems. Towards the end of pregnancy, 34 weeks and onwards, you may need to watch your balance when you straighten up with him or her in your arms. If you have twins or other multiple pregnancy, lifting may become difficult from about 24 weeks onwards simply because of the size of the ''bulge''.
