I had a 3rd degree tear during my first labour and am currently 33+ weeks and have had no info given by my health care team about this. Am I likely to tear the same again or will I need a Caesarean Section?

It is very common to tear with a first pregnancy because your skin and muscles have not stretched before. Subseqent deliveries usually cause less tearing. A previous third degree tear does not mean you need a Caesarean section, unless you now have chronic bowel or bladder continence problems. Ask for information from your doctor at your next visit.
