How soon is too soon to become pregnant after delivering a baby?

Theoretically, you could get pregnant after a month or two assuming you're not breastfeeeding. Pregnancy does however deplete you physically (for example iron, folic acid and calcium levels become low), emotionally and sometimes psychologically so it's a good idea to wait until you feel ready before embarking on the next pregnancy. There is some evidence to suggest that pregnancy outcome is best if you wait for at least 6 months before getting pregnant.
