Hiatus Hernia

A condition commoner in pregnancy: as the muscles relax, the stomach changes position and slides up and down instead of being held firmly in place by the diaphragm. This means that acidic stomach contents can splash into the oesophagus (food pipe) causing irritation and pain, worse when lying flat)
